About the name...

Lots of people have been asking about the name Africa. It's a Celtic name, which we chose in honour of my Irish roots. The name was certainly inspired by the continent but was probably reinforced by the Gaelic word fioreach, meaning "noble". Elizabeth was Tim's granny's name and my great grandmother's name.
