Today was Africa's school nativity. She's been very excited about it for weeks and practising all the songs with great enthusiasm. The performance of the girls was very impressive, but for me the highlight was Affy's costume. Among the hoards of angels, sheep and shepherds there was only one black bird.... She was especially proud that her costume was the only one with an inbuilt weapon. One which she had great joy in using!
