Learning about emotions

Africa is two, the age which is notorious for temper tantrums. She is definitely capable of a good old wobbly when she doesn't get her own way, but she is also good at laughing and being very affectionate. She still sometimes needs persuading to use words rather than screeches to get her message across, but she's definitely making progress in the right direction.

She's also really enjoying drawing at the moment. Often taking the lead from her sister, she's started to add arms and legs to the bodies which she draws. She also loves to be read too. Her favourite books are always changing, but some of them are "if you're happy and you know it" - good for doing actions too, "tinyrannosaurus rex" and Angelina Ballerina. She's very good at singing songs now too. She makes a really convincing attempt at When Santa Got Stuck up the Chimney!

Certain elements of Christmas have definitely sunk in too and she's looking forward to opening some presents at Grandma and Grandad's house on Thursday.
