Hugs, kisses and screeches

Africa is growing up so fast. She's very physical, as I think this picture shows. Loves climbing and jumping and running and swinging. She's a proper little chatter box and will give her sister a run for her money. She is also, ear drum burstingly loud! I think she must have learnt that from her sister too!

We're just back from a week in a cottage in Wales and Affy is still telling people about how "our field has lots of sheep in it and they POO everywhere!" This may be because a few minutes after the photo above was taken, she fell into the largest pool of soggy sheep poo imaginable and I doubt she could easily forget it.

Africa absolutely loves playing games at the moment. She's a big fan of a game called spotty dog, where you count spots on dogs and collect them, but she'll play pretty much any game you suggest, knickerbocker glory, slug in a jug and more traditional games like hide and seek she loves too. Her counting is getting really good. She can count up to twenty no problem and then with a bit of help might continue a bit.

Like most children her age, Affy loves to be tickled. She is also very keen on giving out big kisses. Her colouring skills are blooming as she follows Stella's enthusiasm for that past time. She's also very fond of singing. She has lots of songs in her repertoire and likes to make up new lyrics too. She's incredibly opinionated, although her point of view is usually easily defined as being the opposite from Stella's. Lots of fun for us parents!!

Affy is also doing really well at swimming. She comes for her lessons every week and now she stays in the pool on her own with the teacher while I swim lanes. She's really started to progress and can swim with a noodle float on her front and on her back. It's one of the highlights of the week.
