Africa got a bike for Christmas and she's very pleased with it. She has very good balance on her like a bike, but the pedals and steering of the new bike are a bit of a challenge at the moment. So we've decided to keep the stabilisers on for now, until she gets used to the pedalling bit. Hopefully she'll be off without them soon, like her sister.
It's been so cold that it's hard to get out and practise very much at the moment, but I'm sure that'll change soon.
We had a lovely christmas and new year. In Shrewsbury and the Lakes. The lakes was very cold with snow frozen on the ground so that all the world looked like an ice rink to Affy. In fact, when I asked her what she hoped for in 2010 she said "to walk outside without it being slippy and icy everywhere!" Fortunately, she got her wish because we only have the cold and not the snow and ice down in London at the moment. After a while, Affy decided that she would just stick in her buggy rather than risk falling over again.
